Hello - I'm choosing a gaming monitor and I found this:
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16824009156

I want to know if the F-22 monitor is compatible with 64 Bit Vista?

I e-mailed Acer but they were totally unhelpful idiots.

Thanks

Monitors don't require specific drivers so are basically compatible with any OS.

I thought the same but for this monitor:
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16824009125
Some people said that it is incompatible with 64 Bit OS

(Look under 1/5 eggs)

There's some that say something about it, but the issue is probably with his graphics card and not with the monitor. Why else would there be so many reviews claiming that they cannot explain the previous issues people have supposedly had with it.

After further reading, I learned that those 2 people who had a problem were an exception. Many more people have had success with the monitor and 64 Bit Vista.

But here are the reviews:

1) Pros: NONE
It's by far the worst monitor I have ever looked at

Cons: You have a 64bit OS you will be missing 480 columns. Shifts every right. You will end up with no browser controls. Everything off center. The color bleeds from the top to the bottom. You have 3 choice's green, blue or gray. The cd was BLANK. Nothing was on it BLANK. Oh it's an acer cd all right
PASS on this one
2) Pros: works on 32 bit systems

Cons: No 64 bit support. After Googling failure symptoms, it turns out this monitor will go to 1600x1200 in Vista64bit. It will allow a 1920x1200 desktop, but the 420 columns on the right are offscreen. So much for watching blue ray even with hdmi and hdcp support.

Other Thoughts: Acer service was helpful enough to say I should have checked their website to see if it had 64 bit support before I bought it. I did, but the site keeps this information a secret. I wish I could get a refund.

Then choose a different 24"? It's not as if there's a shortage of them on the market.

Also, the first monitor is really, really overpriced.

Like I said Monitors work with any OS, they use generic drivers, compatibility issues must be down to graphic card or something else.
