Nah, you should be alright there, it shouldnt make a difference, it may depend upon your graphics card though.

It depends.
If your graphics card will output both types of signal at the same time yes it will work fine. What graphics card do you have?

As said above it all depends on your graphics card, although you can buy a dualhead2go splitter but it would probably be cheaper to buy a better card

all I know about his card is its 256 meg, PCI-e and I think ATi. Not sure on other bits but the card was only about £25 ish if I remember correctly, at that price I'm not sure..

the card is ATI Radeon 2400 HD Pro and from looking at that dualhead2go it seems to be for people with 1 interface but i have a vga and a dvi interface

i have used dual monitors
and in the same setup as you want.. and yes you can. xp pro and vista supports dual monitors too :-) you will need a connector for the dvi port to your monitor and your good to go this is the cheapist way to dual if you wanted to go down the road of using a (dualhead2go) it will cost you about £200 to £300 ! doing it the way you want and the way i do gives you the same benefits anyway i have a step by step guide on my site of this if you need any more helpmyPCbuild.piczo.com/(24)dualmonitors password is pete21
