Hello,

I am considering purchasing a dual monitor. I'm not sure if I can make it work. I have one VGA port that is being used now. There is although a second port, it looks exactly like the VGA port, but it doesn't work when plugging in the screen to it. The port has a " Image of monitor/Image of speakers" Image above it. Added information if needed, I do have a graphics card, a nVidia GeForce 8500 GT.

Apologies if that isn't enough information, I haven't learned much about monitors yet.

Thanks!
Daniel

The 8500GT should have one DVI and one VGA port. You may have to go to Display, right click the other monitor (the one not working) in Settings and then click Attached.
