forget that i decided to get the ko,
here is my basket on ocuk just want to make sure what i am getting is top spec and good
Microsoft Windows Vista Home Premium 64-Bit Edition DVD - OEM - 1Pk (is this good, any driver issues?)
OCZ 2GB (2x1GB) PC2-8500C5 1066MHz SLI-Ready Edition Dual Channel DDR2 (ok for 64 but home premium?)
Akasa System Exhaust Blower (does it work well, will it help cool the ko ultra?)
the other products are the evga ultra 8800 ko, arctic cooling freezer 7 and arctic silver thermal compund, but i know all these are the best anyway
also will 64 bit run all 32 bit programs ??? e.g. all the c&c games

http://www.evga.com/products/prodlist.asp

That link shows all the different cards and specs.

The KO is faster than the stock as it is OC'd a little.

64 bit vista can recognise upto 128gb of ram, but this only for multi-cpu configurations, max of 16gb per processor. This is also Vista Ultimate 64, not premium.

32bit can theoretically recognise 4gb (due to bandwidth) but some of this is automatically addressed to the graphics card's, i/o etc. Hence you'll only ever see around 3.1gb-3.4gb dependent on build.

Home-use motherboards tend to only be able to map 8gb anyway, regardless of o.s.

Actually, you know what?

I've just re-read that and i'm confusing myself now.

Dammit. Let's all go Linux.
