Hello, my laptop has a GeForce 7600 and I thought it would be great but, it tends to go really jerky at times when playing games. Most notably when I bought fifa 07, I had to play at the lowest graphics???

Any suggestions or review on my laptop its the HP DV9340

Cheers

na i have a desktop mate, thats why im looking to upgrade lol, but what might help ya is...... (this is what i did last night as i got frustrated with this card) download latest drivers for ya processor, latest direct x9 latest geforce patch, half of the guys here will say this is standard stuff but i never thought up manually updating direct x9 or my processor, my computer seems to handles games alot better, smoother, also my graphics car used to stutter, even if i wasn on a iexplorer or media player, it would just stut then carry on, that seems to have gone or reduced.

i downloaded from amd a programe that helps 'sync' my dual core last night aswell, less clutter apparently i dont know, but yeh update everything you can perhaps :)

try turning off the vertical sync in ur video card settings
it should say on/application controlled/off
set it to off and most games will benefit from it
expecially counterstrike
my card is only a geforce 5700LE 128mb
and i get a perfect 100fps in counterstrike

There's a reason v-sync exists and that is

1. because the human eye cannot perceive changes in FPS over 60
2. because pumping out frames over 60fps on a 60hz monitor leads to tearing as the monitor cannot keep up with the graphics card.

V-Sync should almost always be on. Turning it off wastes GPU power. 60FPS is the maximum needed.
