Patience lol, your posts with links have to be approved because you are a new member(it stops spammers)

Check here
You will see the cards I suggested (highlighted in blue) as you can see the 1950pro is the better card and the 8600gt is DX10/Vista

Social's made some good choices there. The X1950 pro's (or an XT if you can get a decent deal) would make an awesome card considering the rest of your spec.

But Nvidia's 7900GTX is an awesome card for DX9 gaming, upto and including, a 20/22" screen. But they're still retailing for around 170-200.

The Ati's mentioned are also very power hungry (you'll be ok with your psu though) and run loud.

But what about this Same basic spec as a 7900GTX (24 pixel pipes, 256bit wide memory channel etc) but just slower gpu and ram speed. For less than half the price of a GTX.

I searched scan for ages for that card, don't like the layout of that site at all
Yep and with a v.mod with that card you are able to hit GTX speeds, but that is a matter for another day lol

So I could have 2 of the 256MB XFX 7900GT Extreme card running in my system? Again, at that price I might as well buy 2!

From Nividia website

Quote:
NVIDIA® SLI™ technology can be enabled for every gaming application. In addition, to provide the optimal 'out-of-box' experience, NVIDIA has created an extensive set of over 500 custom application profiles which enable SLI technology automatically and optimize scaling performance. These optimized applications, shown below, are enabled automatically with no control panel changes required.
