Alright, here we go. All prices inc. VAT.

GFX: Palit 9800GT @ £83.41
PSU: Corsair 400W @ £36.41. Great, reliable PSU for not very much money.

Now, that's assuming you just plug in those two, see if it meets your performance needs, and if it does, you're good. If not, or you just want to overhaul the system:

Motherboard: Asus P5QL @ £60.88.
CPU: Intel E5200 @ £58.71
RAM: Corsair DDR2 800mhz @ £30.42.

OK, thanks for going through all the bother to get those prices, but would all these parts work on my system?

Yes, they would, the GFX card, and the PSU would would on nearly any system around (that isn't too old) and if you end up getting the motherboard, the CPU and RAM, that is basicly a new computer, so there is nothing to have to have it compatible with.

I just realised that i have a PCI x16 1.0 and not a 2.0 so would this slow down the card?

Thanks

Hi,
I got the 400w PSU and the 9800 GT. The game play has really improved and the graphics are incredible.

Thanks so much.
