Default Which Graphics Card?

I am looking to buy my first graphics card (I did post a thread on here last year about which one might be best and I got some really helpful replies). I currently only have an on board graphics chip and have a computer with the following specs:

Core 2 CPU 4300 @ 1800 GHz
2 GB RAM
305w PSU
22" Widescreen
Vista Home Premium

What is the best card I can run on this power supply and that is inside my budget of around £60?

I have been looking at the Point Of View 7600GT 256mb, is this the best card for the money or is there something else out there which would be better? Would this card play the latest games? I just want the best card I can get for under £60. Any help greatly appreciated! Cheers

The 305W Power Supply is going to limit what you can get really.

This 8600GT is probably the best you can get for your money but its risky running it on that power supply you might start getting problems with that. The minimum reccomended power is 300W so you're pushing it slightly with you're 305W!!

The 8600GT is an ok card, its not the best, but it will run the latest games on medium settings. Not high though, if you want to get to high settings on the latest games you will need an 8800GT.

The 7600GT is shown to be very similar to the 8600GT in benchmarks etc. But the 8600GT is designed for DX10 so will benefit, especially for the visuals of Vista.

Hope this Helps

best under that price will be the 256mb 3850, dunno if that'll run on 300W (doubt it).

Well, what are you trying to run on your computer.
There are some good cheap ATI Radeon video cards you can get. But not recommended for real gaming
