Graphics card equal or better then 8800GT

Hi Guys
I've reached the end of my patience of waiting for the BFG 8800GT and decided to throw another £60 into the mix and look for a graphics card around the £250 mark, i'd be looking for the best card I can get for the money,
My system specs are as follows

Hey Jack.

I must say I'm pretty stoked you went with my spec.

Anyway, the only cards better spec'd than the BFG are the GTX and Ultra; you're not going to get these for £250. The cheapest vanilla (non oc'd) GTX I've found is £280.

Why not a different 8800GT? If it's any help you could order this.

I've ordered the same card, yes primarily because you can't get a 8800GT for love or money at the moment but also because of it's specs: 640mhz gpu, 1.9 ram. Granted, slightly lower than the BFG and an extra £12, but I'm willing to pay that considering how hard these cards (with a decent oc) are to come by currently.

There's a faster version of the same card (xxx edition) on the site as well, pretty much the same spec on the gpu and ram as the BFG but it's also around £35 more than the BFG.

Confirmed in stock via a call yesterday. I guess we're both rather annoyed with Scan aren't we.

Smeg. . When I looked at the site to get the link for my post they were both quoted in stock.

Bet these are either flying out or they only had one or two left.

I rang after the mess with Scan and was told it was in stock. Methinks I'm going to ring tomorrow a.m to check.

Depends on what you call worse.

They are still quick, but not a patch on an 8800GT.
