Just wondering if this is any good?

ASUS EN8500GT/HTP Graphics Card PCI-Ex16 1GB DDR2

looking to play dawn of war2 with it.

Nope, 1GB of VRAM on that card is a gimmick and it's a poor buy for retail or even probably off eBay or at a reduced price.

Where are you buying it from and how much is it?

That's not a good deal at all. Don't pay that extra cash for the 1GB -version. You'll be fine with the cheaper, 512MB -version, for sure. It'll run Dawn of War 2 easily.

Even the 512MB version isn't worth what anyone's going to ask for it. Unless the OP has it around already it's not worth considering.

That's so true, but if he's going to play games like "Dawn of War 2", he'll be fine with that video card for a while. 8500GT is a kind of strong and performanced video card, beats the 8600GT.

It's neither "strong" nor "performance", it is a HTPC card. It's true that it will run DoW2 due to DoW2 having hilariously low system requirements but if the OP wants to throw his money away on a poor budget card he could get something like a 7900 for the same price that's a better card.

cheers for the info guys.

well i did buy it for £30, but it's only got to last me for about 4 months as then i'll be buying a new mother board, processor, graphics card etc.
