just plug it in (with power off of course) as long as the plug fits comfortably, it is right, don't force them though, but it will need a bit of a push to connect the connectors.

Right you have a molex plugged into your harddrive, unplug it and connect the splitter, then plug the splitter back into you harddrive
You will now have a free molex left over coming off the splitter, plug that into your graphics card!

I went to install the splitter, and when I unplugged the hard-drive there was already a spare plug, so I used that in the end.
