Default Graphics card for running Vista 64 and DX10

Im currently planning my gaming build and i want a card that will easily handle Vista 64bit and will support DX10. The build is coming to around £1000 and will handle my gaming for the next 2-3yrs, so DX10 support is essential (plus im building this as opposed to getting a PS3). So can anyone recommend me one?

I have been looking at the XFX GeForce 8800 GTS 320MB model, anyone got any opinions on this for my needs?

Cheers

Lightbulb Graphics card for running Vista 64 and DX10

depends when your getting it for im getting my rig for christmas so im waiting for the 8900 gtx to come out and i'll see the prices realistcly if you r getting it for christmas u should get the 8800 ultra for lasting for 2-3 yrs also thes current models that are out will or should drop in price so whtever ur thinking just hold on for a little while and the prices should drop.

I'll be getting it within a few weeks, fingers crossed.

I've jiggled my system around and can now stretch to the XFX GeForce 8800GTS 640MB instead.

Although i have just been informed by my brother that GeForce are s***, lol
