Hi, I am new here and I am not sure if I am even doing this in the right spot. Anyway, I have a XPS M1210 with Windows XP. My video card is a NVIDIA GeForce Go 7400. I recently bought a LCD Samsung 42" LN40A530P1f and a VGA chord so I could use the TV as a 2nd monitor. I have done this before with my old PC monitor and everything went fine. When I get everything set up and switch my TV's source to PC there is nothing there, just black screen. My power button is blinking and it looks like it finds the source, but it stays black. I have tried to make it single view, duel view, and clone, but nothing changed the black screen. Anybody have any ideas what I can do to fix this? Thanks.

Heterogeneous refresh rates/resolutions? Have you made sure they have those settings configured independently in the nVidia control panel?

Yea, check resolution and refresh rate, and does the HDTV work when plugged into something else (as a normal TV, and/or another computer)? If it doesn't it's most likely a faulty TV, but if it does, there is something wrong with the computer.
