Default Help?

i dont know much about the hardware side of pc's so....whats better

Nvidia Geforce 8600GT 256MB
or
Nvidia Geforce 7300LE 512MB

i would have thought that the 8800 was better coz of the plain fact that 8800 is bigger than 7300. but then again it aint got as much memory so im kinda debating it in my head plus the 8800 is about £40 more

8800 or 8600?

You're confusing the two in your post.

Welcome to the forums also. :)

I'm no expert but the 8800 is a better card than the rest, it's the top card out right now.

The 7300LE is a older low-end card.
The 8800 is a newer high-end card.

The 8800 would increase performance by much more than the extra 256MB on the 7300LE would, if that 256MB even does anything for performance..

I think you still mean the 8600gt, because the 8800 doesn't come in a 256mb version, only 320,640 and 768mb versions are available
8600gt is basically a 7600gt with DX10 IMO
Which is low,mid range DX10
