Default HELP! ATi X1650 Issue

Hey all

recently i bought a X1650 ATi 512MB Radeon card

Ok first problem i had with the install was drivers and a black screen, fixed that, then i had an issue that my powersupply of 200Watts was to small for it, so i updated to a 350 Watt PSU which 90% off websites said should be more than enough

Now my problem is even worse, ive only had the card for a day and perfomance has been more than exceptional, its been great, but earlier today playing counter strike 1.6 and combat arms the computer rebooted itself after 20 minutes of play, this has never happened before and only started today, a day after i got the card, so im assuming the cards faulty, but i need some reassurance before i go exchange it for a different card

it happens constantly now, reboot, reboot, reboot

Default HELP! ATi X1650 Issue

are you getting a bluescreen when it reboots but it only shows for about half a second, if so go to system properties, advanced, system and recovery settings, and uncheck 'automatically restart' and then ok. then play counterstrike untill the system crashes and post a picture of the bluescreen or just the error codes. if there is no bluescreen its probally an electrical fault or an overheating problem, you can tell if its an overheating problem by touching the heatsink on the graphics card, if it burns you then its overheating. more realistically download ati tools and you can monitor the temp from there but you will have to play the game first then check the temps so you get the load temp. 70 degrees is the danger level i think. if the temp is fine and thers no bluescreen then its most likely the power supply and you should exchange it for one with a higher wattage.

Wattage does not matter.

What's the PSU brand?
