Default Help Choosing New Graphics Card

Hey all.

I am looking into buying a new graphics card this summer (after GCSEs) to replace my aging 256MB X700.

What cards would you lot recommend in the £100-ish price range?

My current system is:
Shuttle barebones PC (http://eu.shuttle.com/en/desktopdefa...69_read-10611/)
AMD Athlon 64 3800+
1GB DDR RAM
Plenty of HDD space
Windows XP
256MB ATi Radeon X700 PCI-E

Ideally, the ability to play Oblivion nicely would be nice.

Any suggestions?

Default Help Choosing New Graphics Card

for around 100 pound range i recommend. (from scan.co.uk)

FIRST CHOICE...http://www.scan.co.uk/Products/Produ...oductID=771460

now i highly recommend you get this 9600GT...for 1 simple reason...lifetime warranty. And i believe BFG upgrade your card after so many years.

specs 700 core - 1900 memory - shader ?

price £128 pounds inc. VAT

thats my best choice for you mate if your gonna go with any that would be the one just due to the quality price and warranty of the card.

Second choice: XFX 9600GT

http://www.scan.co.uk/Products/Produ...oductID=773802

now if your not so worried about warranty, then this card is better for you i guess.

core 700 - mem 2000 (only difference which isnt alot of difference) - shader ?

3rd Choice: MSI !1GB! 9600gt
Only difference is the 512 goes to 1gb still 700 core and 1900 mem

http://www.scan.co.uk/Products/Produ...oductID=773963

theres the link.

But trust me the BFG is the logical choice due to the warranty. And its a good card.

Now Can I Get An Amen!
