I have recently bought a Galaxy Nvidia GeForce 8600gt 512mb.
I have installed it into the PCI E slot and connected it too the moniter, yet it doesn't pick it up. I have sufficient power to run it, 550W power supply. When I turn the computer on I can hear the computer working but nothing appears on the screen at all. any help would be appreciated. |

I assume you have plugged in all the cables inside the computer and installed the card into a PCI-E x16 slot?
First things to check are the cables inside! If not then you may have to change some settings, did you have onboard graphics previously? |

Put things back to confirm where the problem lies.

Wattage doesn't matter. If the PSU is crappy it doesn't matter what they rate it at.
