Have you got more than one stick ? ..... if so, did you try removing one and swapping them as above ?

i have also tried disableling 1 processor and then the other but no joy.

You can't disable the processor so you must be disabling something else.

i do ctrl alt + del and i have cpu 0 and cpu 1

From your original post you are running directX 9.0b.

You say you tried dx10.0 but you do not have a dx10.0 graphics card so this is a no go.

What you need is directX9.0c, all new games run on the c version and this is likely to be your problem.

Under what tab? I don't have dual core so don't know what screen you see.

Either way the processor has nothing to do with this fault and disabling them will do noting to fix it.

thanks, when i load the game a .exe file comes up of the games application under processes, thanks again

Run directX and check the version number to make sure you are definitely running 9c.
