Hello,
Firstly I am absolutely rubbish with computers. I apologise. I have a Dell Dimension 3100 which doesn't appear to have any video cards at all installed. I bought a PCI card from PC World (they're not very helpful!) and of course it doesn't even fit in the slot. I think I've got a very basic computer. Foolishly I bought Flight Simulator X which requires a Direct X 9.0 compliant video card with 32mb of ram and support for hardware transformation and lighting. Can anyone please advise which video card would be compatible with my rubbish computer and would also make the game half decent? I'm happy to search on ebay if the shops don't stock them anymore. I really hope someone can help me. Thanks in advance. James |

I hate to say it, but upgrading on this budget system isn't really an option.

Have a read here and you'll understand why. You could change the motherboard, but you would probably need to change the PSU and case as well, as these are not standard on Dells. TBH, you would be better off selling it to someone and grabbing a new box, with the right spec. My System: Home Build
