I was gaming last night Cheese and a dude there said he installed the newest driver for his gx280 and it made it run like crap and crashed the system. He rolled back to the previous version and everything was fine again. Maybe you may want to try the drivers just prior to this latest set.

What's not to be sure about? The dude said it, he did itr and it HAPPENED. Pretty straight forward. You don't want to do it, don't, but there is nothing to question about the events. Personally I had no problems with the latest drivers, but some do. I also don't have the 280, he does.

Where's the risk anyway?

Surely it's worth a try, if it makes no difference, just update to the latest again..
