Oh dear, yet another Nvidia card in an already convoluted market*.

New 8800GTS folks. But wait, there's a twist: 112 stream shaders. Thats right, the same amount as a GT.

Looking at the specs I reckon it'll bench slightly higher than the GT, and if they get the pricing in line it might be the better buy.

Discuss.


*Only kidding, choice is never a bad thing.

yes. i hear the new GTS will be better than the old GTX. and the new GTX will be far better than the old Ultra. and i even hear they are making a new Ultra as well. all with the new 92 GPU's instead of the old 80 GPU's. this should prove interesting. i wonder how the 8900 and 9xxx will hold up in all of this.

The new GTS will have 128sp and the GT only has 112, they are nearly exactly the same card, but the GTS has a few more sp's and takes up two slots which allows for better cooling and has higher clock speeds
