So, I need a monitor because the PC I'm buying has 2 DVI ports on the 9600GT card it comes with. I heard 9600GT was one of the best and outperforms the 8800GT at times. So I was wondering what monitor would really make a good picture all in all. I was looking at this one

I don't want to break a 250$ budget. built-in-sound is NOT a priority I am getting a new 3.1 set anyway. I do want AT LEAST 19". same price range. LCD preferred greatly. Thanks.

If you squeeze an extra $30 into that you can look at http://www.tigerdirect.com/applicati...757&CatId=3774

SVA 2400w 24" Widescreen LCD Monitor - 6ms, 800:1, 1920x1200 (WUXGA), VGA, DVI, Black

There's a host of reasons for getting 1920x1200. The refresh rate's close enough for gaming and you can run lower resolutions for that to bring the game to the best real-time feel. Settling for 1280/1024 isn't a good long-term answer, there's far too little real estate on it for internet use or HD DVD/TV playback.

yeah, that's an insane jump in resolution.

this is false..? the 9600GT is a budget version of the 8800GT
