Hi,

I'm looking for a new graphics card. Anywhere AUD$300 or less (approx USD$265). I have a Gigabyte GA-7VA motherboard. My current card is a Radeon 9200 AGP 4X. The maximum supported AGP speed is 4X. If you need any other information, just ask for it.

If you want anything good you will have to upgrade your motherboard to one with a pci-express slot in it. However if you dont want to do that the nvidia 7600 series will work with agp 4x http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/PALIT-NVIDIA-G...QQcmdZViewItem

That one looks okay. Aren't the slots next to the AGP PCI slots? I have stuff like ethernet card and sound card in those slots. Or is there a difference between PCI and PCI-Express?

PCI is generally used for sound cards, network cards and other add-on cards.

PCI-E or PCI Express is used for current graphics cards.

AGP is an old type graphics card slot.

well i think the 7600 is the best that a 4x agp slot can take.

Im not quite sure about what im gonna say right now. I coud recheck it on the internet. But since Ive got to work in a few minutes I cant. But I do believe ive heared the ati X1950 has a AGP version. But I might even be wron about the card. Atleast in case its a X1950 youd better choose that card.

Since I might be wrong becose I dont really know it for sure, youd better ask someone else to determine it.

the X1950 is agp 4x so it may not work or it will at lease not work to full capasity
