I am having severe problems with my screen. Coloured lines are appearing on my screen en masse, and there is a grey patch on the right which when viewed on a black screen is a jumble of colours. Please help! What is the cause, and what should I do?
Background Info
My computer is a HP Pavilion zd800
It has a history of viruses
Taskbar freezes when I turn on my computer so I have to logoff and logon again. I never turn it off, I just hibernate it.
Common crashes, especially when I ues the internet or play a game like Half-life 2 or counterstrike.
Lots of popups.
Wireless internet that fluctuates it's speed drasticaly down at some points.
My computer is VERY loud even when it's not doing anything taxing!

Are any of these problems related to the coloured lines? I have attached photos of my screen: normal screen and black screen.

Has the computer been subject to any shocks, like being dropped or anything dropped onto it
