Default MKV problem with new card.

Hi all I'm new here.

I just got a new graphics card and everything seemed to be working fine. I then try to play a mkv file with medai player classic and then I get the blue screen of death and physical memory dump and all that bad stuff. I tried again later and it was no fluke. I had no problems playing mkv files before, and I dont really know enough about computers to figure out why this would happen. Any insight would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Is it just one mkv file causing this or have you tried others?

It happened twice with one file that I had been able to open before, but the problem is worse than I thought now. Now it has happened with 2 different jpeg files. I suck.

Also, I can open other types of video files fine.

Have you got the latest drivers for your graphics card?

Aww damn dude just before I posted this I browsed the CD, and when it installed the drivers I guess it didn't do the ones for vista. So I posted before I tried another file cause I didnt feel like restarting my comp, but it works now.

Thanks for taking the time.
