Well presuming the seconds not HD, as its not in the title and most brands like to boast about it - easily the first one, purely for being HiDef.
These days you'd be fairly daft to go and buy a non HD monitor, unless of course you had very good reason.

The V2400W is superior in res and picture quality.

Ah, I'm not familiar with them, but with that new info it's a tough call and only one that you can really make yourself.
It depends what you want from it, if you want HD then obviously choose the HD one.. Trouble is if you buy a SD one it's not going to last long.. A few years and that'll be like saying you're entire film collection is on betamax

What are you talking about? Both of these monitors are quite clearly "HD" as they both meet or exceed 1920x1080, this is verified by like ten seconds on Google. Honestly I don't understand why people bother giving someone purchase input when they don't know the basic spec of the thing the person's buying, especially when doing so takes so little effort.

Sorry, I just assumed it wasn't because the OP had written Full HD and everything after the first and not the second..
I thought that was why (s)he had the confusion in the first place (higher quality vs. high definition) In light of them both being HD and my now googled results, I'd say go for the second, the V2400W

well.. thanks for all the responses guys . I really appreciate it . Plus my apologies on not putting up the details . I just copy pasted the titles from websites . (Hence the confusion of HD and non HD).
I personally like the BenQ V2400W 24" better ... all the specs look gr8 ... except i'm not too sure about the contrast ratio and the dynamic contrast ratio (i dont know exactly what they mean either ..lol) .... BenQ V2400W 24" Contrast Ratio: 1000:1 Dynamic Contrast Ratio: 10000:1BenQ E2400HD 24" Contrast Ratio: 1000:1 Dynamic Contrast Ratio: 4000:1

Contrast ratios and such mean nothing and "dynamic contrast" is a gimmick which you will turn off in the first five seconds of using the monitor.

Not true, contrast ratio is effectively the difference between the bright colours and darker shady areas in one given frame. The higher it is, the more realistic and pleasing the image is.
You can clearly see this if you go to a store and compare a 1000:1 with a 300:1 Quote:
![]() Dynamics just a really quite corny setting that makes everything look a bit wierd and too-colourful to be true, it's hard to describe but if you flick it on and off you'll see what I mean.
