Default Monitor broken?

Well, i dual screen my 22" widescreen and my 17" little thing.
Usually my little screen is for forums and talking while my big one is for gaming ofcourse but something happened yesterday.

I was just playing Trackmania and my little screen just.. turned off, I thought nothing of it and paused it and tried to fix it. Little did i know it has broken ( maybe ).

So, i use an AC adapter that connects to the power cable of my big screen and goes to the little one ( connects from Big monitor power cable to the little monitors VGA cable. )

Like this: http://img.alibaba.com/photo/1169474...T_Products.jpg

But england counter-part.

So im not sure whether the monitor has gone or the cable, Is it worth buying a new cable and testing it? The AC box gets really hot ( when you touch it you cant hold it for 3 seconds or longer or you will burn your hand )

So any help/comments are welcome.

And as always, have a great evening -Eltoc

Definitely worth trying a different cable. See if you can borrow one from someone. When you consider the cost of trying a new cable and buying a new screen...not really worth it, especially if it was just a faulty cable

There maybe just to much load on the adapter, why not buy a second power lead for the smaller monitor and plug it in to a separate socket?

The problem there is, the monitor is only a small 17" proview and the only way to get a power cable in there is to fix it to the VGA ( little slot on the VGA cable to put it in )

So ill just have to buy a new cable which will fit into my main monitors power cable.

Thanks ill get another
