Default Monitor Problem

Had a similar problem with my computer not long ago. Lines up and down screen and it would lock up. Put in new graphics card and all is well.

Download Everest from the downloads section Here
Then select Motherboard/Motherboard to show the expansion slots you have available.

If your card is continually re-setting it's vga settings, regardless of any prefences changes you may or may not make then it's shot I'm afraid.

The lines on the screen strongly suggest it's losing it's settings.

New card time methinks. This isn't driver related by the way.

You need an AGP card.
