some of you might no from my last post i needed a new monitor

well twoday i got it..

im not sure what setting to use to get the most of of it..
my setting at the minute are
1920 by 1080 pixcels
refresh rate 60hz

when i move my mouse courser around on the web pages it lags abit.. also web pages are displayed but at each side of the webpage is big un used spaces.. is this normal or can i fix that? sorry never setup a monitor this sie before

I don't know about any other websites but CJ does 1920x1080 rather poorly. I'd estimate about 65%-70% of the screen is just blank grey space.

On some websites you can set them so that they are in a widescreen format, unfortunately you can't here

My laptop lags on complicated web pages which has a res of 1920x1200 and has similar spec to your desktop,

If it's lagging but up the refresh rate.

Mines 75Hz, I have two Acer P193WAd 's

Which are worse than yours, so you could easily have 75Hz I'd have thought.


As for web pages, that's normal, I guess in the future they will gradually make more use of greater resolutions as more and more people have them.

thanks you lot what would i do without you
i have set screen to 75hz (had to un select the dont show what screen cant do)
but pages no longer lag. i have managed to set my website fonts up in size for websites to use most of the screen. still a big gap taught (still looks ugly but if its what you have ot put up with if you use a large screen then ill stop moaning lol

It must be worse for you (I'm 1440 x 900) but I comfort myself by thinking, it's just as if theres an A4 bit of paper on the screen, my screen happens to be bigger than an A4 paper, so I'm special and I get the advantage in most full screen applicvations, and esp. movies.

dont forget games i found in vlc player in full screen the video quality was ok but in media centre is was much better.. but for computer use there is so much space.need to get use to it had 17inch all my life till now lol
