I already answered that.

In the post you replied again to I also said that if it didn't work like I am at the moment I'd get a second different card that was SLI, and then upgrade the other to SLi some time after, just for the sake of it.

Sorry, didn't read your post through but the point stands. That's a horrible upgrade strategy, you're going to buy a new motherboard and a new card to run in SLi with a 9400GT? It's not a scenario where if you have the thing you might as well hook it up, and buying another motherboard just to do it is beyond insane. Just throw in a 4850 for the other monitor/two monitors and forget about it, you won't get anything but application crashes and incompatibility for the money you throw at it, SLI is a waste of time especially with a HTPC card.

No, I'm not;

The 9400GT doesn't have SLi support anyway, so even if I wanted to I couldn't.

I havn't decided what yet, it's about 6months down the line, so the best option will probably have changed by then, but I'll get a new card that is SLi compatible, but run it in normal mode with the 9400.

Then it allows me to upgrade to an SLi configuration after that when I want to..

It's hard to explain my little plan, and it doesn't really matter that much as I know where I'm going with it.

But by the time I get to having SLi most of my system will have changed anyway.

Still, thanks for the input.
