Well given that I have had BSOD issues since I built this machine and it looks like all along i had an nVidia GPU that intermittently malfunctioned right out of the box, I think it's highly likely.

damn. its always in the middle of a game or right when i click on random things. when it works in a game it runs flawlessly, and then at random, BAM! but i could be playing for hours on end before it happens.

Sounds just like mine. i kept 'fixing' other things and it would work great and then like you say, bam out of nowhere it locks up.

I have two cards, so I ran them one at a time to see. This one has worked flawlessly for about a week now, the other one messed up from the start, so I'm fairly confident it's the problem.

Can you drop your old card in to see if it works?

i dont have an old card. but im guna install windows 7 on the other HDD (once i find a darn blank DVD) and if it still acts up i can assume it IS that GPU. god dang. and its been over 30 days too. so i cant sent it back to newegg. do i NEED to register the GPU on BFG in order to RMA it?
