Alright so here's the thing. I have an nVidia GeForce FX 5500 256 MB graphics card. It would play all the games I wanted like Halo, Red Faction, World of Warcraft, etc. just fine. But then I went to update my graphics drivers and all of a sudden now my 3d games play for 5-10 seconds maybe longer and then the game freezes but the sound continues looping and then after 5-20 seconds it unfreezes, continues gameplay, and then it happens again. When I had WoW installed it even did that and then went to a Blue Screen of Death and I had to shutoff and turn off my computer.
I tried rolling back the drivers cuz things were working perfectly fine before yet no luck. I still cant play my 3d games anymore. They all keep freezing/soundlooping/unfreezing and repeating that which is annoying. Any help would be appreciated. I've also since uninstalled WoW and reinstalled once which didnt help so i uninstalled it again. But I will reinstall if needed to see what the BSoD said. Everything worked perfectly before I tried upgrading my drivers. Also Ive tried uninstalling my graphics card drivers and reinstalling them. Yet no luck. Here are my current System specs: Model: Dimension 2400 Operating Sys: Windows XP SP 2 Processor: Intel Celeron CPU 2.40 GHz Memory: 1022 MB Ram BIOS: Phoenix ROM BIOS PLUS Version 1.10 A05 Video Card: nVidia GeForce FX 5500 Sound: SoundMax Digital Audio I appreciate any help. |
