I've been turning my monitor off because it's been acting up lately. Here's what's happening: I'll be working on my computer, and all of a sudden, the monitor will start shifting slightly from left to right. It's really playing havoc with my eyesight! It also gets a little lighter over time. Please don't tell me I need to get a new one. I really can't afford a new monitor at the moment.

I have no idea, except that it's a Goldstar. LOL No, I'm pretty sure it's a CRT. It's older, weighs a ton, and takes up most of my desk.

I can't get to the cables, so I can't check them. I'll have to have my husband check later.

OK its a CRT.

It could also be down to refresh rates.

If after you check all the cables it still does it let us know.

Also make sure you have no speakers near the monitor, they have magnets in them and can cause funny stuff to happen.

The vertical hold is going mamab as are the brightness settings.
The vertical hold can only be adjusted from inside the monitor but it's not worth bothering with as it's on it's way out.
I'm sorry to say this but Goldstar are trash monitors anyway, obtain a Compaq when you get a new one.
