Hi Everyone

This is my first post here.....I have an old Advent 3110 Computer which i think is about 6 years old.....I have upgraded almost every feature of it and it now has a new DVD Rewriter drive....1.5gigabytes of memory....new USB.2 ports.....as well as a few other additions.

I wish to upgrade the graphics card.....I am finding it difficult to do....most graphics cards sold seem not suitable as i don't have the correct slot for them.....my question is will 8x AGP graphic cards work in my system.....here is a link to a page which describes my computer in more detail....i am unsure but i really wish to upgrade the graphics card so i can hopefully play 720P movie trailers.

Any advice anyone on which card to buy ?

The current card is a Nvidia NForce 420 GPU.....i wish to upgrade to at least 128mb but preferably 256 or 512mb memory graphics card......if anyone can offer advice that would be great and i would be very grateful.....thks....M

Yes, AGP is backwards and forwards compatible, but only in slots withthe same voltage. IE. You can't put a 1.5 card in a 3.3V slot and vice versa. The wikipedia article may be of use
