im gettin a new agp 8x card but a budget of £30 what is the best for gaming i can get. thnx

You are going to have to stretch your budget a little bit, to about 50ish.

Yep test drive is very sore on the systems, I have a AMD 3300+ 2gigs of ram and a x800pro and it barely plays it at low spec

Edit: oh and that is with the cpu overclocked to 2.65Ghz from 2.0

Mmm, not sure most game from a few years ago I suppose, like WOW, BF2 and stuff like that

You are running Vista Ultimate on 1Gb of ram?

If you are wanting to game on that aswell you are going to need at least another 1Gb, plus a Vid card with atleast dedicated ram of 256Mb.

im runnin xp im not doin any other upgrades its just the graphics and i was doin some searching and came across ati 9250 nvidia 6200 and ati 9550 or should i extend the budget to £40 or would i get nothing more which is the best.

9550 or £40 by opening my budget up to £40 should i get the 7300 gt and my cpu is an AMD Sempron 2800+ @ 2.1Ghz will they work with each other.

If that was me, and considering AGP cards, new, still command a premium due to the market being so small I'd be looking at purchasing second hand. You could end up getting a very good card for a small amount of money as most people selling such a card will be upgrading or buying a new pc so will have to get a pci-e card. They might just want rid to get a bit of extra cash.

I've had a nosey at ebay and there's some very cheap cards on there that are better than the 3 quoted above.

is ebay trusty though i can have a look at their rating from other customers but when the 360 came out someone got it from ebaybut it turned out to be a pile of bricks

It's different with Ipods, Xboxes, PS3 etc.

Scammers are preying on desperate people wanting them pre-release and/or cheap.

Buying a secondhand graphics card you should be fine as long as you check their feedback. :)
