Hello all, im after a new graphics card due to my old x600 not been able to keep up.

Im a keen gamer and am wanting to play COD4 but i only get 19fps! so its basically unplayable...

Specks of pc...

Dell dimension 9150
P4 3.4
1gig ram

I have about 100-120 to spend! Help please?!

Pci-e yeah?

You can get a 7900GTX for less than £100 now.

Will do your system nicely considering the rest of the spec.

Gaming at 1280x1024? If so, the 7900GT might be better, the GTX will be overkill. But hey, at that price, why not.

Okay, well im gamming in 1024x764 atm, how can i check if my motherboard is compatable or whatever i need to do :p? any idea what FPS i would get, anyone got this set up by any chance?

The primary hardware for the majority of games is the gpu.

The GT and GTX will eat COD4 at that resolution.

What make/model motherboard is it?

Or if you've bought a pre-built pc, what make/model is the pc?

When you say Eat i hope you mean its toally going to be good ... Its a dell dimension 9150, apart from that i dont know any details on the motherboard, is there something i can do to find is out?

I can't believe I asked that. You told me in your initial post....

Anyway, yup the GT or GTX will work but you need to ensure your psu has a 6 pin pci-e power connector as the X600 doesn't require one.

Forget the GTX at that resolution, go for this. £70
