I want to get a new card but it appears that i will need a new psu aswell if i want anything decent.

I was wondering what is important for a psu apart from the 6 pin connector and wattage. Also, is a psu hard to install? I wouldnt want to risk breaking anything as i use my pc often.

By budget is roughly £100 and i was thinking maybe 30 on psu, so best card around 70quid?

The amp ratings on the 12v rails are also of prime importance.

Your components (specifically the card in this case) require a minimum amount of amps to function properly.

But cards in your price range (if buying new) tend not to need a 6pin connector as they are powered purely by the pci-e port.

What card were you thinking of? And what card do you have now?
