Also it's worth bearing in mind that not all "dead pixels" actually are.

90% of the time when people think they have one that's dead it's actually .. err I'll call it sleeping

I forget which way round it is but I'm sure I or you could find out - one is when they go white, the other is when they go black..

But for the life of me I can't remember which way around..

Well, a "hot pixel" is when it's white, a "dead pixel" is when it's black, a "stuck pixel" is when either the red, green or blue is always on or off. (It says on that link philthomas gave)

And I did think of an HD TV, however for £250 I seem to only be able to get a 720p resolution (unless I'm looking in the wrong place?), which I feel isn't high enough for a PC, and for full HD, the sizes are fairly similar.

Ok, well I'm back to looking as I have now finished all my exams and I think I like the look of the Samsung T240, and if I buy from ebuyer I can get £15 cashback from Samsung. But if someone knows of a different monitor they would recommend over this one, please say, as well as anyone who knows of any problems with the T240.

Thanks

Hey thingie :)
You could try either of these 3 places,

ebuyer
overclockers.co.uk
bigpockets.com

im sure you will be able to find a decent enough bargain within these three sites :)

Just been having a look around, on ebay too, and have noticed there are a lot of Dell monitors on there, how are Dell monitors? because it looks like some of them are quite expensive, but others aren't, are they like Dell PC's (you can get better for cheaper from other manufacturers)?
