There is also one more factor ! the notebook saves the power in vista by not providing full power to the CPU !! so choose the settings for optimum performance and then do the benchmark test again

Good point, also make sure it's plugged into the mains when doing the test, again if it isn't the laptop will be running on lower power.

Yes plugging into mains is a good idea cause your notebook will really use all the juice in the backup battery . So make sure that you don't use too much power when playing without any power source nearby .

Also, i would like to ask fellow members, if laptops and desktops carry out much of a difference over such tests?? Any ideas?
