So I recently updated my motherboard and CPU (I'm now running an Intel Core2Duo). It boots up fine running Windows XP Home SP3. The problem is I have a PowerCooler HD4850 graphics card that I want to install (currently just running onboard video) but it's not working.
I plugged in the card and then when I try to boot I get no display on the monitor, just a flashing green light. However, windows is booting because I can hear the startup jingle, I just can't see anything. I tried unplugging the card and then everything works fine, so I uninstalled the INTEL graphics drivers from "add or remove programs". Then I tried to reinstall the card and boot up but it does the same thing, no display on the monitor. I've heard power supply issues can cause graphics card troubles, but my PSU is only about a year old. The guy at the store said you need a 350Watt or greater PSU to run this card, but I don't know how to tell if mine is. Here is some other info: the fan on my graphics card is spinning when I have it plugged in, so there is some power going to it. That should be fine, CM PSUs aren't great but they're not that horrible either. RMA the graphics card first and then if you have the same problem buy a new PSU.

Nevermind. I realized last night that the problem was I had the monitor still plugged into the mobo instead of the video card. LOL...I feel stupid.
