Good question!! Who cares about the 8800 ultra when the 8900 and 8950gx2 are coming out.

I love the 7950gx2, stalker in 1600x1200 everything maxed and does not studder a bit.

This is more of a bump.

The Nvidia 8900 GTX and 8950 GX2 are coming out this spring / summer but as Nvidia have just launched the 8800 ultra and the ATI 600 series is to be launched soon i would imagine [SIZE=2]Nvidia will also release the 8900 series probably not long after the release of the ATI 600 series as a counter blow to AMD / ATI.

im sorry out of all the days my crystal ball has stopped working damn! :D seriously though i think it comes out september time just look at the prices for the 8800 ultra at the moment wait till the 8950 gx2 comes out id say £650.

The next chips to come out are I think the 65nm 8800gts rev.2 which allegedly beats the 8800GTX that will be the middle of November (the 19th I think)
Pricing is around the 300USD mark so loads cheaper than the GTX

But the next series of cards wont be out until some time in 2008

Pricing will be about what I stated above, maybe a little more $300+
It is faster than the 8800GT, but price/performance its not really worth it
It is also dual slot but is still smaller than the GTX
Release date was supposed to be the 3rd of December but nothing has surface on any of the major etailers as of yet

Not keen on the case - plain black doesn't suit such a powerful GFX card.

It's only plain black because it hasn't had a label added to it as it's purely a pic to show people whats coming.

Once released third-party manufacturers (XFX, BFG etc) will add the label's (and more than likely their own hsf's) to keep you happy Gazmondo.
