ive had it for like 2 years now and its worked fine except a few minor bugs but now when i unplug my monitor from my computer it reverts back to the onboard video and now it wont recognize this one as soon as i plug the video card in my on-board video stops working it shows video untill windows loads then goes black at the logon screen but not shutting the monitor off its kinda like having multiple monitors its black but i still can see the mouse moving and the nvidia card doesnt show a picture at all so if i go into the bios at startup and set it for the nvidia card then the nvidia card shows a picture up untill windows loads then it does the same thing nvidia card- no picture at all onboard- black screen with mouse and yes i uninstalled my old drivers first ive had this card for so long with no problems before but as soon as i unplugged my monitor it went to this crap plz help |

Go onto you're Nvidia control panal if you have it and get it from change it from there.
If you don't have the Nvidia Control Panal the reason its not working is you probably don't have the driver installed. Go onto the Nvidia website and follow the instructions from there. |

youve worded it abit difficult thats most likely while no-ones responding, no offence
my attempt to fix this would be disabling the onboard in the bios if you can get in there then plug the monitor into the card and see if it will boot, if it wont try booting it in safe mode if that works then get hold of the latest nvidia drivers, install and reboot

ok sorry bout the explanation
i had the card previously installed it started messing up when i uplugged the comp from the wall the drivers are installed (the right ones) it did that from time to time before for no reason at all it just reverts to the onboard video even if it is disabled in the bios there is no motherboard jumper pin to disable it the only way is in the bios and it doesnt actually shut it off the only options i have are: AGP and PCI i called gateway and they said if u select AGP with no AGP card present then it goes to onboard the card i have is a fx 5700LE PCI it shows a picture with the video set to PCI but only as the computer boots up as soon as windows loads then it reverts back to the onboard video i had this problem before but when it reverted back to the onboard it would show a picture i fixed it by clicking extend my desktop now when it does it the nvidia goes to the monitor self test (aka no signal) and the onboard shows a black screen but i can still see the mouse moving around if i could find a hotkey or something to extend the desktop like i did before it would be no problem see my problem is if u have the nvidia software installed with no card present then when u click on the nvidia desktop manager then it wont load im sooo freekin stuck |
