Default Overclock? problem happens

I followed the instrutions that teaches how to overclock, and i did it. Thing is, whenever i quit the ATItuner, it UNoverclicks, and then i clicked this setting so it doesnt do that. but when i did it, and open a game, my monitor messed up and i have to restart, it tends to happen when the fan of my Video Card turns on.

any reason, how else can i overclock my video card?

Maybe you are overclocking it too much, do it in small stages and test it with 3dmark each time.

Also try rivatuner, I had problems with ati too.
