I don't believe there to be any - or at least I haven't found any - becuase GFX cards are there purely to process the graphics or the video.

Sound cards do the sound processing.

If on a device such as an Xbox 360, PS3, Sky HD - these devices carry audio too as they sort of combine the video and audio whereas a PC card would have to be huge as it would have to have a section for HD video and a section for HD audio.

Yea, I'm also pretty sure they aren't combined on any card. as for that to happen, the manufacturer would need to also develop a sound card to put onto the gfx card, which isn't what they do as it takes to much time and money and it will barely increase sales, if at all.

Not much, it would only need about another inch on the back. After all, all these high end sound cards available, don't extend that much further than the PCI-E x1 slot

and if mobos ever have an hdmi port it will be intergrated with the mobos's onboard sound and video and not the video or sound cards ie it will use the mobos crappy graphics to play games and not your graphics card

yea, probably, but that isn't going to happen for quite a while. There still aren't many (if any) boards that have DVI outputs for their onboard graphics.

I have yet to see a mobo with a DVI output built in and have definitely not seen one with an HDMI!

TBH it's not worth it from the manufacturors point of view. If you are going to be using DVI or MDI you are going to be doing gaming and if you are going to be doing gaming then you are going to want your own dedicated GFX card.

Forget Sound Cards ..... any new Graphics Card, with an HDMI output will carry sound as well as video.
