Can any one advise me on PCI-express graphics cards as I don't have a clue. Until 3 days ago the last pc I put together had AGP graphics card connected to it, so now I find that this m/board supports pci-express and I need some advice on what to buy.
At the moment I have a pci card in ( 128Mb ) m/board has 512mb on board ( shared - whatever that means??) but I fancy mixing video and music and I know the software can at times be demanding. Any advice or experiences appreciated.
cheers

4850 is the best bet right now for most users.

The 4670 doesn't compare at all. It's in a completely different range. Maybe you're thinking of the 4830.

That is two cards, not one.

Sapphire RADEON HD4850 . Is this the card you are recommending Carbon? If so will this run ok on an AMD m/board - probably a stupid question but I thought I better ask.

Yes, if it has a PCI Express x16 slot, it will work fine.
