Hi, About a week ago I had a virus on my computer I could not get rid of. My last resort was to format my hard drive. Luckily I had all my files backed up on a portable hard drive, so it wasn't that big of a deal. However, something has changed on my computer. About a month ago I bought a new LG Flatron Wide Monitor TV. When I wanna watch movies on my TV I simply connect via D-Sub cable and switch source on the TV from "TV" (which is regular broadcast television) to "RGB" for received input signals. Then I go to screen setting on my computer. There i see 2 screens. Both called the same thing but one is identified as 1 the other as 2. 1 Was always the monitor on my computer (I have a Laptop) and 2 was always the LG Monitor TV. however, ever since I fomatted my drive and reinstalled Windows some weird stuff have happened that i dunno how to fix. If the D-Sub cable is not connected it still says that my Laptop screen is identified as 1, but when i plug the LG in and restart it switches so that the TV is 1 and the laptop screen is 2. It didn't used to do this before I formatted. My laptop screen was Always 1. It's causing me a lot of problems and I dunno what to do. I tried switching so that the Laptop screen is the Primary screen and the LG is extended (which is how I wanna have it) but it still identifies them the wrong way... AND, for unknown reasons when I do set number 2 (laptop screen) to primary and have the LG Extended, my computer freezes up for about 5 to 10 seconds ever 5 to 10 seconds, rendering it useless until I turn off the extension. I need to know how to fix this so that my laptop monitor is always number 1, and to know why my computer freezes up when I use extension. I have an Acer Aspire 3000, with an internat SiS Grafic Card (pretty much useless, but the extension feature woked before so it's obviously enough). I updated the drivers on both, made no difference really. Thanks in Advance Roaziel

Roaziel, when you updated the drivers, did you download the latest drivers from the company website? Or did you just use your card?

Also, You need to install the monitor on the Default HDD, It may seem pointless, but it ensures the computer recognises the monitor name and type. It will ensure the computer sends the right resoloution to the monitor.
