I recently bought an Acer and I noticed that it had an integrated vga slot and an external vga slot. When I plugged the monitor into the integrated it gave me the no signal screen, but if i plug into the external it works alright. My question is what is the difference between the integrated vga and the external vga? Are there two different videocards? Thanks

Normally the definition of integrated means the GFX card is built onto the motherboard, it's a cost cutting method and they are poor quality.

A dedicated GFX card is what you want and need if you play high end games, it is also the better of the two, so use that if you have both. My System: Hybr!d

I might be an idea to make a 'Question and Answers' thread where people can ask questions like this, and others can answer?
