Default Question about the Quadro FX 3700M

Hey guys,

Been a while since I've been on here, couldn't remember my password...anyways, I have another question for you.

I'm in a game design/development major at my college and we're starting to design our levels and characters and whatnot. Not getting in too deep quite yet but it's coming so my question is this:

would a SLI'd set of 9800M GT's (1GB GDDRIII total VRAM) be better for a notebook for what i'd be doing, or do I want the Quadro FX 3700M 1GB GDDRIII that's coming out?

thanks for your help ^^

BTW, i'm planning on buying my notebook from ProStar, so I'm not sure if/when they'll offer the 3700M, but I know their supplier Clevo is planning on getting it.

Default Question about the Quadro FX 3700M

The 3700M is (according to wiki) a "128sp G92 part" - the 9800MGT has only 96sps. So the 3700M can probably be favorably compared to a GeForce 9800 GTX with the Quadro drivers.

Given that each video card in the SLI setup will have a lower fill rate and probably lose quite a bit of power, as well as being more intensive on the battery and the fact that SLI does not share VRAM, I'd go with the single Quadro.
