i just got my hands on a second hand graphichs card G-force 256mb agp
it has been working fine these last few months...problem started when i upgraded my prosessor to 2GHZ evrything wos fine till i opend windows media centre and with that the screen went black followed with loads of beeps ( too many to count)

iv now put a old graphics card in and now evrythings fine. well its not as most people that are runing vista will now you need at least 128mb graphics card to use most programs like movie maker ect

my Q is how could this of happend..can the faster prosessor make the graphics card run Hoter and burnt out..iv try'd the card in anova pc and it still dont work so i no the cards nackerd

just worrieing that this will happen again specially as the new grahics card i'm purchasing soon is 95 pounds

hmm sounds like u may have purchase the wrong type of graphics card and yes the proccessor has had ir running over time....not something ive come across before though... i suggest if your going to purchase a new one for $95.00 i would advise you seek some advice from a store assistant and see what they can advise you on...be sure also that you pc can handle a 2ghz processor as this may also have caused it...

hope this helps

i had a look in my motherboard manual and it said this 2gig prosessor is the limit that the board can accept so shud be no problems there.
the graphics card wos workin fine with my old prosessor about 1gigs maybe the card just had it
