Hi, gang. I should preface this with the fact I'm an utter newbie in terms of actually getting into my tower and playing around. Please... be gentle.

I just upgraded my video card from the Radeon HD 3450 to the X1950. But when I try to connect to my monitor via DVI, it doesn't recognize (the monitor says "No VGA Cable Attached"). I then saw that the X1950's red light fires up immediately upon starting the system, and it doesn't go out.

Here's my setup:

Video Card: HIS Radeon X1950 IceQ 3 Turbo
CPU: 2.50 Ghz Intel Core2 Quad Q8300
Motherboard: Dell Inc. 0FM586
RAM: 6 Gigs

Any help at all is greatly appreciated. Feel free to condescend, as long as it makes me smarter! :)

Could be PSU, could be the cable not secured, could not be in the slot all the way.
